Guess Which Picture - Writing Activity

The readers theater plays, Hansel and Gretel and Jack and the Beanstalk were presented to Ms. DeGracie's class.
They were a great audience and we want to thank them for coming.
We worked on reading fluency. Reading fluency encompasses the speed or rate of reading, as well as the ability to read materials with expression.

We would like to thank Mrs. Parmenter for teaching us about the Chinese culture.
We learned about the food and made delicious dumplings. (We all wanted seconds!)
We practiced using chopsticks. We also learned about the Chinese writing characters.
The Chinese Zodiac is determined by the Chinese Lunar Calendar. We learned how the order of the animals was determined with a race.
We then played a game to put the animals in order. (Ask your child about the rat.)
The dragon parade and music was a great way to end the lesson.
