I have enjoyed getting to know all of the kids this week. We have a very kind and caring group.

We started science with some inquiry based experiments. Listening to the small groups working, you could hear questions like: "Did you notice... ? Why do you think that. . . . What happens if . . . ? Can you find a way to . . .?"

On Tuesday we will begin the Motion and Design unit. We begin by designing and building a vehicle that will move 100cm.

We read the story Mirette on the High Wire. We began by seeing if we had balance by walking the "tape" with a book on our heads. The small groups discussed the book with very thoughtful responses.

Many of the kids have been helping Mrs. Fricano's class board the bus.

Our Smartboard lessons in math have been a good introduction to using the board while introducing the math structure for the year.
